going to Canada would be more courage’s

I believe that going to Canada would be more courage’s.  You would be getting rid of your honor.  As Tim Obreaen “to go to Canada. Your whole town is going to think of you as a sissey or a cowered”. This quote demonstrates the expectations of the eligible men going to war. There is a sense of a false fraternity made by men but it is a necessity to make so that is a feeling of safety is instilled into the battalion.

One other example is in the message of the song Billy Boy which is in the story. The message is about a man named Billy not wanting to go to war because he found a wife, unfortunately Billy got drafted and went to war. He doesn’t get the chance to get married because he dies.
